Waiting, healing
Will continues to show amazing recovery. This past week he reminded me of one of my nieces names -- I had forgotten. He also told me the first and last names of our upstairs neighbors without prompting. Will is more productive at home than he has ever been, organizing, building, fixing, studying, etc. It is very encouraging to see how far Will has come. However, I have to admit this week I feel like we are on mile 23 of a marathon, and exhaustion is threatening to overtake us. I ask how much more will be asked of Will and I. But I realize in this pursuit of healing and redemption there is not room to look back or ignore the road ahead. I only hope I can be strong, like Will has been and continues to be. It takes so much courage and faith to do what Will has done. To keep trying when everything seems to shout there is no way. I stand in awe of what my husband has been through. He is so gentle and willing to listen to the Lord in this time of uncertainty. He is a great man and I love him more everyday.
As for the rest of this week's updates, we are still waiting to hear from Ohio on when they want Will to do a rotation. He is also waiting to hear back from Eaglegate College on whether or not he will start teaching in the next few months there. Above you can see Will put a new door knob on our storage closet. The knob before did not lock. The other picture is Will and I in one his Grandpa's carriages.
Keep up your prayers. Thank you for your continued attention to the blog and Will's recovery. You all make such a difference in our lives.

More of Will's Genius
Will has been doing wonderfully. Above are pictures he took on a hike we went on this past week. The following posts are our past few weeks. I couldn't chose just a few photos so fasten your seat belts you're in for the life and stories of Will and Summer ;)
I'll start with the update. This past week a lot happened, Will started shadowing Dr. Milne, the internal medicine director, at U of U - she quizzes and teaches along the way. He continues to shadow a cardiologist. Will is probably going to do a night shift in Ohio soon to help doctors back there see where he is at. And lastly he has a job interview tomorrow at Eagle Gate college, if he gets the job he will be teaching students the elementary of medical terminology and pharmacology tech. Keep us in your prayers - we are closer, but we still have a long road to travel.
Will's latest project
The idea to start a new project every week came from the desire to help Will pay attention to detail. The results have been phenomenal. Will built me a shelf in our guest bedroom this past week and then painted it. All these projects were only dreams to me before Will came along - I am not really handy with tools. And for all of you who are all thinking, Summer is milking this "project" thing- all I have to say to you is "no way ;)"
My birthday
When I woke up the morning of my birthday and started setting up for breakfast. My husband brought me out a cake he made, and at that moment I knew that never in the history of mankind has a women ever been soo loved by a man. One that would bake and decorate a cake -- both skills that were self taught in the very hour of creation. Will makes me smile everyday. He is so thoughtful. Along with the cake he bought me a new iPhone and a watch.
The Hike
Ok I have to admit. I'm a sucker for my nieces and nephews. They are my everything, next to Will of course ;) So when two of my nephews left town for two weeks, I called up hours after they returned and asked them to hike with Will and I because I missed them so. Logan loved riding on Will's shoulders and drinking from his camel back, while Kobe was on a hunt for rattle snakes. It was sooo Cute!
The 4th of July Race
This pic is Will laughing at our new brother-in-law Tyler. Tyler was protesting me and my sister's habits of running 5k's on major holiday's, in this instance the 4th of July. Tyler hung a subway sandwich on a stick and dressed up in a tie and slacks. While runing the 5k people called to him saying "hey subway boy are you going to eat that?" He'd smile and keep his trot-- he came in at 29 minutes, Will was close behind. It was sooo fun.
